United Kingdom (UK) Tamil Makkal Forum

Motivation

The purpose of our “UK Tamil Makkal Forum” is to facilitate open discussions and resolve queries among the Tamil community and the wider Indian diaspora on various topics including visas, passports, travel, job advertisements, and more. We also have a separate sub-group dedicated to business adverts. To ensure that discussions are conducted in a respectful and meaningful manner, we adhere to the following guiding principles:

• Focus on specific topics outlined such as visas and job opportunities, redirecting any off-topic discussions to the appropriate sections.
• Avoid engaging in sensitive discussions related to religion, politics, or any form of discrimination.
• Utilize respectful language; personal attacks or derogatory remarks will not be tolerated.
• Refrain from sharing irrelevant content such as jokes or memes that disrupt the quality of the conversation.
• Only share accurate and verified information or personal experiences, avoiding spreading rumors or unconfirmed news.
• Respect the privacy of members by seeking explicit consent before sharing personal information and maintaining confidentiality during group discussions.
• Restrict promotional content and advertisements to the dedicated business advert section.
• Uphold high standards of politeness; offensive or vulgar language is strictly prohibited.
• Strictly prohibit content suggesting illegal activities.
• Encourage members to privately report any rule violations and express dissenting opinions in a constructive manner.
• Emphasize the confidentiality of group discussions, requiring explicit permission for external sharing.
• Any misleading information or messages containing expletives may be escalated to the authorities if deemed necessary.
• Acknowledge and respect the authority of admins, including their right to remove members who violate the rules.

Failure to comply with these guidelines may result in removal from the group. Our ultimate goal is to promote unity and mutual respect within our community. Jai Hind.
